I have been dancing since I was six years old, became an assistant dance teacher at age 14 and have a life-long background in dancing at both amateur and professional level. I have competed in many regional competitions as an amateur, dancing for myself as well as partnering many individuals. I competed in Ballroom, Latin, Freestyle, Rock ‘n’ Roll. I also qualified for the National Championships several times for Freestyle solo’s, doubles, formation team and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
I have worked with some wonderful teachers and this has given me the inspiration to teach dance so, in February 2011, I decided to begin my training to gain the necessary qualifications. I achieved Associate level in Freestyle dance with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) in May 2011 and in Street Dance with UKA (United Kingdom Alliance) in September 2012. I am currently completing my Associate level teaching qualifications in Ballroom and Latin.
