Dance Teacher Training

Do you want to teach dance?

If you have been dancing for more than 3 years and are aged 17 years or over you can train to become a dance instructor so you can open your own dance school and/or teach dance in schools, leisure centres and gyms.

You will be trained by dance professionals who have a wealth of experience and who have trained more than 300 new dance teachers to the exacting IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) standard. This is an internationally recognised qualification, so you can teach all over the world!

Disco Ducks

Disco Duck is a fantastic Toddler Dance Class

Disco Duck has proved to be a popular addition to Megan’s Academy of Dance.

The classes are full of fun and contain funky dance routines, themed weeks and catchy and original tunes written and created specifically for Disco Duck.

They provide a great learning opportunity for children aged 18 months through to 4 years, enabling them to begin their journey into the world of dance. Disco Duck classes have proven to be very popular nationwide.

The children have lots of fun, whilst developing their coordination, fitness and rhythm. The classes are specifically designed, by a dance professional and examiner, for pre-school children.

With the help of our special friend, Disco Duck, MAD works with the children (and their parents), to make sure they have lots of fun whilst keeping fit at the same time.

For more information on the general structure of the class/syllabus, please see the Disco Duck website.

Included in this session will be some basic dance moves for you to practice at home
